Max: 12 Min: 5 Level of Skill: B/I/A

Most artists and students know a little about drawing, composition, color and techniques, few know the basics of linear perspective. This aspect of art is just as important as all the other. The problem is that it is a little intimidating because it is so technical. You cannot learn this subject from a book. This workshop will teach you the basics of one and two point perspective in an easily understood manner. We will do a step by step progression of the mechanics and explain the reasons behind each step. You will draw basic shapes with different eye levels, build multiple objects with different vanishing points, and construct and understand how shadows are cast. Robert Krajecki has been teaching this subject for over thirty years and will explain it so that it will be of use to you in your paintings.

A long pose is scheduled for the afternoon. Cost of nude models included. Beginners are welcome.

This one-day intensive workshop with Florence Academy of Art graduate and School of the Art Institute instructor Diana Stezalski concentrates on the development of a college portfolio. Max: 13 Min: 8 Level of Skill: B/I/A/P

Award-winning pastel artist Anne Von Ehr shares that -- as a pastel artist and instructor, one question I am often asked is how I know to choose certain (but a little unusual) colors? Trust me, it is not magic! It’s something you can learn. This class teaches you some color theory, value basics, and something about trusting your instincts.
